Ban Nongbone

In Lao, ban means village and each part of the city is broken down into villages. I live and work in Ban Nongbone, and also live on Nongbone Road.
Old meets new- the temple down the street is building a new building. The city is changing so rapidly.

Please notice this dust on the road. Please keep in mind that not 2 hours before there was a torrential downpour. How the roads can be dusty ALL the time is a mystery to me!

The most lovely sunsets appear when you least expect it.

Many people run businesses out of the fronts of their houses. For example, if you look into the background of this furniture store, you can see what looks like a family's living room.

Street view, Nongbone Road- tuk tuk on right!

LLC Building- this is home to Lao Law and Consultancy Group, my place of employment.

Communism is alive and well in Lao PDR.
